My life this past week has consisted of 6 airplane rides and 5 states. Some for pleasure, some by accident, and one rather personal. A death in the family has brought me home to the open roads of California… And now another week.
The storm #nemo arrived as planned, just in time for the weekend. True to form, it didn’t stop most New Yorkers from getting outside to enjoy the Winter Wonderland it brought us. Central Park was stunning, although- not to be outdone, the galleries in Chelsea were calling my name: a standout being the recently opened Basquiat exhibition at Gagosian Gallery. There were a few other too, worth sharing… Enjoy!
The last two weeks have flown by. It’s been a flurry of holiday parties, holiday windows, present-buying, airplanes, and being sure to say good-bye to friends and colleagues who I won’t see until the new year. For me, it really is the most magical time of year. Below are a few of my favorite little moments over the past two weeks, (excuse the blurry-ness! Guess I was just to excited to stand still). Enjoy and Merry Christmas!
I love this time of year. Over the weekend I wandered around the West Village- and I loved all the little moments, a ribbon on a street lamp, wreaths on doors… and this little scene snapped above. The City is dressing itself up. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well- cheers to the week ahead.
After the week I had… whew. I really needed to do pretty much nothing except stroll around my neighborhood and try a few new recipes at home. The highlight of my weekend was being invited by my friend to watch her in action at a nearby letterpress studio. I’ve always been so fascinated by the process and it was so cool to see how it all works up close and personal. Below are a few pics.
